Welcome to Lost Wages

Game overview

Description

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards is the game that made Sierra's comedy name. Al Lowe's 1987 adventure drops Larry Laffer, a hopeless romantic in a white leisure suit, into the seedy city of Lost Wages with one goal: find true love before sunrise.

Type your commands, walk the streets and talk your way through a bar, a casino, a disco and a hotel. Every room is packed with gags, and the game has a joke ready for almost anything you type. Save often, because Lost Wages is full of creative ways for Larry to fail.

This is a comedy written for grown-ups, with the cheeky humour of its time. Before you start, the game asks your age and five trivia questions that "only an adult would know". Every answer is in the Age Quiz Answers book on the shelf below.

Getting started: Press Enter at the title and the warning. Type an adult age and press Enter, then answer five questions by pressing a, b, c or d (no Enter needed; the answers are in Age Quiz Answers on the shelf below). A wrong answer drops you to the C:\> prompt: type LSL1 and press Enter to try again.

How to save: Press F5. Delete what is in the box, type C:\ and press Enter. Pick an empty slot with the arrow keys, press Enter, type a name for your save, press Enter, then Enter again.

How to continue: Press F7, make the box read C:\ and press Enter, pick your save with the arrow keys, press Enter, then Enter again.

The Keep: Signed in to UORealms? Right after you save in the game, click Save to The Keep above the game to store the save in your account. Next time, on any computer, click Load from The Keep, pick your save, then continue as shown above. Saves you don’t put in The Keep are gone once you leave or reload the page.
